I am a graphic and visual designer based out of San Antonio, Texas. I am trained as a graphic designer, but also have a good amount of experience in UI/UX as it pertains to web and mobile apps, as well as web design. I also have significant experience in videography and editing, as well as 3D modeling and texturing.
I started designing when I was 13 out of necessity. The Nintendo forums back in 2002 let you have an image based signature for your posts when you hit a certain post threshold. When I hit that threshold, I saw so many people selling their services to make these image signatures. I decided that I didn't want to pay anyone to do it and that I could learn to do it myself. So I did. I downloaded GIMP and started learning the basics of the program, as well as exploring the aesthetics of simple design. Soon, I was the one who was getting paid to make those signatures for other people and I decided that I loved the world of design and art and that it would be the thing I do the rest of my life.
I received my Bachelor's in Graphic Design and Animation in 2011 and have worked for several companies including Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton creating graphics for digital, motion, and print, as well as developing UI/UX for virtual and augmented reality training applications. I also spent some time at a geospatial software startup handling the UI/UX for several software packages. I am currently a Senior Visual Designer at Slingshot Aerospace, creating space simulation tools for commercial and government use.
My big passion, besides design, is space. As you probably have seen in my most recent works, I am a big fan of rocket companies, and all things space exploration. I draw a ton of inspiration from that realm, and hope to one day delve deeper into the industry as a creative designer.
